Project Statement:

Our placement in the world as observant bodies forces us to constantly negotiate between fact, fiction, and seemingly incongruent events and objects. Navigating the mundane and monumental pathways of daily events continually requires us to choose.

These decisions hinge upon contradictions within and between objects, images, and events. Requiring viewers to interpret and manipulate the context of these relationships encourages the consideration of the magnitude of minute miscommunications, the inherent physicality of one’s position, and the existence of infinite ways to view physical and intangible things alike.

Creating eclectic bodies of work that can be variously consumed and regrouped enables multiple ways of making connections. By creating an environment that requires conscious choice between disparate elements resulting in differing outcomes, I look to assess the constellations of meaning within the larger parameters of everyday experience.
